Step by Step – Climbing the Roof of Africa

On the morning of May 26th, the founders of UBON Safari, Beena and Umang, will embark upon an 8-day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania at 19,341 feet/5,895 metres. We climb the highest peak in Africa to raise awareness and desperately needed funds to support those who struggle with homelessness and lack of basic resources for survival. We are called to return to our birth place, connect more deeply to Earth, and remember that we all are truly connected to one another.

Training for Mount Kilimanjaro climb

We are not athletes nor are we professional adventure climbers, in fact, some even think we are a little crazy to embark on this climb. But we believe — Step by Step — each of us has the power to make a difference in this world. Our goal is to raise £30K in support of  Under One Sky, based in London; Zara Charity in Tanzania, and Akshaya Patra in the UK.

Step by Step – Together we can make a difference

Please join us and help us take the steps we need to create a ripple effect of change in our world. Together, with your support, we WILL change lives.

We each have our own personal and heartfelt story of inspiration for why we feel called to this summit. We hope that our words and hearts ignite a light inside of you to support this cause that means so much to us.

All funds raised will go directly to charity. Please join us with your spirit, gift and gratitude.
