The annual journeys include the nine-day Golf Safaris with optional excursions for non-playing guests; the nine-day Namibia Safaris connecting Pretoria, Kimberley, Etosha and the Kalahari with the Atlantic Ocean; the nine-day African Golf Collages (for golfers and non-golfers) running between Pretoria, Kruger Park, Durban and the Garden Route to Cape Town; and lastly the 15-day Dar es Salaam trips through South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania – one of the most famous train journeys in the world.
THE SUITES Vintage carriages combine with modern luxuries The epitome of luxury with handsome wood-panelling and period Edwardian features, the air-conditioned suites accommodate two people with the option of twin or double beds.
The spacious suites offer passengers the opportunity to travel in privacy, comfort and luxury with fittings and facilities that are of the highest standard. All are equipped with a writing surface, a personal safe for valuables and a bar fridge filled with beverages of the passengers’ choice with room service available 24 hours a day. In the en-suite bathrooms, original fittings combine with the modern technology of hot showers, hair-dryers and shaver plugs. Elegant and generous in size, the Royal Suites also feature a Victorian bath.
The Pullman Suites are equipped with a comfortable sofa-seat during the day with a conversion to double or twin beds for the evening and also have an en-suite bathroom with shower, identical to that of the Deluxe Suites
