Balanced on the rim of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Angama Mara is the brainchild of Steve & Nicky Fitzgerald, and draws on their considerable experience from developing and operating safari lodges whilst at the helm of &Beyond. More than anything, Angama is founded on the underlying belief in guest delight, and brings together a fresh approach to both the safari experience and lodge design. Angama Mara opened in June 2015 – The lodge is located on the edge of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment overlooking the Mara Triangle in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The camp has a refreshing Swimming pool to cool of after a long game drive. International plug are in the rooms for charging devises. Electricity is 240V. Wifi is available throughout the camp.
Dining at Angama is a unique experience with great food and areas to dine, guests can have a private dinner in the room or dine outside under the stars at the main restaurant. If guests wish to be pampered and massage in the room would be a perfect solution to soothe sore muscles,
Guests can also have the opportunity to exercise in the fully equipped fitness centre or relax reading books in the well stocked library.
The curio shop offers great gifts for friends and families.

There are several scheduled flights daily from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Angama Mara’s private hardtop airfield – a 45 minute flight, depending on routing
The camp is easily accessible by road from the Maasai Mara, Nairobi and the Serengeti (via Lake Victoria border posts: Migori in Kenya and Tarime in Tanzania). Serengeti camps can also be accessed by air via the above routing
The lodge is unfenced and guests are not permitted to walk unattended around the camp after sunset.
There are 2 camps of 15 tented suites each Maximum number of guests 30 guests in each camp with Interconnected family tents 2 sets of 2 interconnected guest suites in each camp. The rooms have Super king size beds which are extra length to offer absolute comfort while guests sleep peacefully. All suites can be configured with twin bed setup. Each room has a Fan, Air conditioning but no Mosquito nets as it is unnecessary due to the sealed tents and lodge at high altitude,
The Rooms have a bath , shower, twin vanities, separate w/c, Personal bar, Safe, Telephone Intercom Emergency siren, Hairdryer.
Angama Mara also has Disabled access where one tented suite is fully wheelchair enabled. Laundry are available and complimentary Binoculars are given while you are on safari.
Private Vehicle are available on request at an additional charge
Morning Safaris and Afternoon Safaris are conducted as well as All-day Safaris .
If guests wish to experience a Night Safaris depending on the weather they are able to request this. Walking Safaris are available on the Escarpment as well as Community visits an additional charge .
TO experience the Magic of a Safari by air Hot air ballooning are the best way to experience the vast Mara available on request at an additional charge

Children aged between 6 and 12 may share a triple room.
