Sand Rivers Selous is situated on the banks of the Rufiji River, with the lodge following the escarpment up and around the lazy bend.
Sand Rivers Selous consists of 8 open fronted rooms offering sheer comfort, wonderful beds and plenty of space with en-suite bathroom facilities. Guests realize after a few hours spent relaxing on the verandah or cooling of in the pool that they have arrived in the best place on earth.
Each room has a wonderful panoramic view over the river offering great wildlife sightings from the camp itself.
Thee are 5 river side suites and 3 Hillside Suites with plunge pools.
Guests can also sit around the camp fire at the end of the day with their cold drinks sharing the daily activity stories with their fellow travellers. He main mess is spacious and open fronted offering a library and sofas for relaxing. The main area also boasts a main poo, privates tucked away in a quiet corner.
Sand river game drive vehicles are open sided offering wonderful for photographic safaris.
Walking Safaris and Boat Safaris are another unique way to see game in its environment in Selous.
Fly camping gives a unique experience offering private mosquito netted tent s set under the African stars giving you the up close to nature experience. Please book in advance .
Children over 8 years are welcome . Fly camoing and walking safaris are for 12 years and over.
The camp is open all year round except Mid March to early June.
