Kiba Point is a private camp in Selous Game Reserve on the banks of the Rufiji River. The Camp is a mile downstream from any other camp giving full privacy without having to meet anyone else. A perfect place for a family safari. Game drives are with your own private vehicle when you want, you can sleep late and do nothing if you prefer as here you are at one with nature and you call the shots.
The camp is set back off the river with 4 spacious airy cottages made of stone and thatch on raised platforms overlooking the woodlands and river beyond. The impressively large and open fronted rooms consists en-suite bush delux bathrooms with flush toilets, indoor and outdoor showers and hot and cold water. Each room had a plunge pool set into the edge of the deck.. If you feel like a swim you can use the large swimming pool at the main thatched mess.
Walking Safaris and Boat Safaris are unique to Selous and with professional guides and armed rangers you are escorted to a new way of viewing wildlife.
Game drives are in open sided vehicles giving you a wonderful photographic experience.
Fly camping gives a unique experience offering private mosquito netted tent s set under the African stars giving you the up close to nature experience. Please book in advance .
Children over 8 years are welcome, walking and fly camping are for 12 years and above.
The camp is open year round except for mid March – early June when the camp is closed for maintenance
