Nestled in the beautiful Chyulu Hills ( Ernest Hemingway’s green hills of Africa ) Campi ya Kanzi is a eco – friendly lodge set in 283,000 acres of Maasai community owned land facing the Majestic Mouth Kilimanjaro.
Campi ya Kanzi offers 6 Luxury Tented cottages, 2 tented suites and 1 swimming pool suite centered around Tembo House which is the home of the Kenyan – Italian family giving a very homely feel. Hosts Luca and Antonella have raised 3 children on the land and have created a utopia from modern day life and give a fine example of sustainable, organic living.
Fresh vegetables are daily supplied from the small biodynamic vegetable garden and the wines are imported from Antonella’s vineyard in Italy.
Campi ya Kanzi is a wilderness destination and guests cannot avoid a profound cultural experience. One can see amazing wildlife there, including some fantastic rare species such as wild dog, oryx, gerenuk and cheetah. But moreover guests can walk in the hills, through the unique cloud forest, and into hidden enormous caves, as well as horseback ride.
Located in the Chyulu Hills , the Camp has exclusive wilderness with 280,000 acres of traversing ground with amazing vistas.
The Kanzi House is a private villa in the Savannah built with local material and has a 18 m swimming pool ( water cropped from the rains ) and has a Jacuzzi for 4.
The camp is open all year round.
